MTV dating show 'Next' aired from 2005-2008 and featured a bunch of hate-able singles trying to hook up with their equally horrific counterparts. At any point during their dates, they could literally "Next" their partner -- making them LEAVE right then & there -- and try the date with a new person. It was a bit heartless, a bit trashy; it was guilty pleasure TV truly ahead of it's time.
